Storage grant
The aim of this grant is to assist homeowners who have had to vacate their damaged property and pay for storage for their belongings anytime since 4 September 2010 and have exhausted other financial assistance to pay for storage.
Please check that you have attached one from each of the three sections below:
NB: If you have applied and been approved for a New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Independent Advice Grant then you ONLY need attach #3 below.
1. Please provide ONE of the following to prove that you are the current owner of the damaged home address applied for:
- a rates bill OR
- certificate of title OR
- mortgage document detailing your name & address of the affected property
2. If your land has been zoned Green, then please provide proof that your damage exceeds $100,000.
3. Please provide an invoice from the storage facility dated after 4 September 2010 or proof of payment for storage. If you are providing proof of payment for storage then you will also need to provide proof of your bank account into which you would like this grant to be paid, that details the account name, address and bank account number:
- a printed bank deposit slip OR
- a copy of a recent bank statement
