Enhanced Water Filter Grant
The aim of this grant is to assist those people whose domestic water supply comes from either a well or a bore and whose water quality was affected by the earthquake, to the point where they now require an enhanced water filter (EWF), in order to make their water potable. We can only assist where the property owner has already exhausted all other avenues for funding assistance.
Before you apply online, please ensure you have electronic copies of the following documentation.
Please provide ONE of the following to prove that you are the current owner of the address applied for:
- certificate title OR
- mortgage document detailing your name and address of the affected property OR
- a rates bill
Please provide proof that your water quality has deteriorated to a level that is considered non-potable.
Please attach two or more quotes dated within one month of this application form being received by Red Cross,
as listed in the attached application form, for the purchase of the enhanced water filter, the installation and testing.
